Dr. Jenny Jarvis

Dr. Jarvis has studied martial arts since she was 8 years old. She opened her first martial arts school at age 18, 3 months prior to graduating high school. Since that time, she has owned and operated several martial arts schools, including Utah Martial Arts Academy, Utah Academy of Taekwondo, American Studios of Martial Arts and Omega Martial Arts. In addition, Dr. Jarvis served as the head coach of Team USA from 2001-2003 and again in 2007-2008. Teaching is her great love, second only to her family. She holds a Phd in Martial Science, and MS in Clinical Mental Health and a BS in Film...evidence of some ADHD and compulsive learning needs! She has developed a deep passion for melding her martial arts and coaching related knowledge with mental health principles, believing the blend to be uniquely healing. Dr. Jarvis is also an adjunct professor at UVU, teaching in the Clinical Mental Health program.

Sarah Hinckley

Kwanjangnim Sarah Hinckley started Martial Arts at the age of 5, as an outlet for their energy, and to make friends. They have had the opportunity to train with, compete with, and learn from the best of the best. And 30 years, dozens of tournaments, thousands of classes, and thousands of students later, they have found a family and community. Now they enjoy helping others find themselves, and their community, just like their Masters have done for them.  Sarah is an excellent martial arts technician and instructor, and their love of teaching is evident in all their classes.

Laurie Loader

Laurie began training with Dr. Jarvis in 2006, after enrolling her son in her program. She soon found a way to find community, empowerment and to build resilience for herself, and realized the experience was deeply healing. Shortly after beginning the main martial arts program, she began to supplement her training with Shifu Vea Lynn Jarvis in the modality of Tai Chi Ch'aun. Laurie holds a 2nd degree black belt in traditional martial arts as well as holding rank in Tai Chi. Her gentle and accepting style of relating and teaching provides a haven for many students.

Cassie Larsen

Cassie is the engine in the machine! Cassie works for the University of Utah pulmonary research as a manager and scientist, and "moonlights" as the business manager here at Enso. While the rest of us work directly with students and clients, Cassie's tremendous work ethic, calculated and intelligent mind and dedication to our vision makes it possible for us to do so. Nothing here is possible without her dedication to the foundation and continued success of Enso.
